The Hubert Curien Laboratory in France is named after Hubert Curien, a prominent French physicist and former Minister of Research and Technology. The Hubert Curien Laboratory was established in 1984 as a joint research unit affiliated with the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Lyon. The research focus of this laboratory is on Photonics, Optics, and Lasers.
The project aims to contribute to the improvement of an integrated magneto-plasmonic circulator, employing magneto-optical (MO) nanoparticle-plasmonic (MBP) materials. This project, part of the CIRCULIGHT initiative, involves demonstrations on InP and Si platforms at 1.3 or 1.5 μm wavelengths. The Ph.D. student will work on MO material synthesis, optical characterizations, and device fabrication and collaborate with consortium partners.

Application Requirements
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Physics with a specialization in Materials Science, Optics, and Leser.
- Applicant must be familiar with magneto-optics, sol-gel processes, and plasmonics is advantageous.
- The selection will be based on the letter of motivation for experimental studies, proficiency in English, and strong collaborative skills.
